Way of Lights

The Way of Lights in Belleville, Illinois, has been a holiday tradition for my family as long as I can remember. This is a drive through light display. They usually have a Lego Land exhibit and a petting zoo. They also have a gift shop and restaurant that you will see about halfway through the display. The Way of Lights is one of the longer displays that you will find, and it can take a while to get to the entrance as the days get closer to Christmas. I think my boyfriend and I waited about an hour to get in two years ago. It is well worth the wait. You will see more and more lights as you make your way through each turn. The Way of Lights is breathtaking! They collect donations at the end of the display to keep the lights going for the next year. Stop by the Way of Lights if you can. I am sure that it will become part of your holiday traditions.

Iā€™m including a few pictures that I was able to take while hanging out of the car window! Do yourself a favor and go see the lights in person! You will not be disappointed.

You can find the Way of Lights at The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, 442 S. DeMazenod Drive, Belleville, IL 62223.

Have you been to the Way of Lights? Do you have any light displays around Southern Illinois and Missouri that you and your family love? Please let me know by commenting at the end of this post! I would love to hear from you!
