Giant City State Park: Your fall paradise

We went to Giant City State Park on Saturday. The trail was nothing special until we made it to the bridges that ran over a small creek.
The creek was completely dry since we haven’t had any rain lately, but the view from the creek looking towards the bridges was phenomenal. The fall colors added the perfect pop of color to my photos. It was like a fall paradise. I’ve always dreamed of walking through a place like this. Towards the end of the trail, the sky was blue and full of clouds. There was a nice break in the treetops and the view from the ground looking up at the tall trees and the blue sky was breathtaking.

We went to Forest Park on Sunday. The leaves are still changing and there were people everywhere. I’m more of a landscape photographer
when it comes to nature, so I didn’t get many photos.

I’m doing what I can to soak in all of the fall vibes before they are gone. We have plans to go to at least one place this weekend for some photo opportunities. You blink and the leaves are all gone from the trees.

I can’t wait for our four-day vacation later this month. Of course, photography and nature will be a huge part of the vacation. I’m hoping to be able to do a photo blog when we get back. I’ll also be posting photos on my Instagram while we are gone.

Side note:  I was just informed that someone threatened to shoot up our office. This person apparently has disappeared and has lots of guns and ammo. The legal field is horrible. It’s dangerous and not what I imagined when I was 17 and needed to pick a career.

Side note part two: Is it just me or has everyone gotten a lot dumber since Covid hit? My job is damn near impossible these days. People don’t communicate, they don’t return phone calls, they don’t know how to follow instructions, they just randomly decide to change a regular deposition to a zoom deposition without telling anyone…. You guys, I am about to pull all of my hair out. Why does everything have to be so complicated? My job is hard enough with out having to do the same thing multiple times because people don’t communicate or follow instructions.

I am thankful for everyone who reads this blog and/or follows me on Instagram. I am glad that I get to share my love of nature and photography with all of you. Thank you for taking time to support me on my wild journey!
