Abandoned theater, music video, and a murder

The title of this post sums up my last week. Some good things and some bad things.

My boyfriend filmed a really awesome music video for a band called Rosemary. The song is called Across the River and I can’t get it out of my head. Maybe it's because I’ve heard it so much over the last few weeks. It is a catchy song and you won’t be disappointed. I promise! My boyfriend and I went on an adventure Saturday. We saw a cool abandoned movie theater and then we went to Mermet Lake. You can see some of the photos on the right side of this post. The movie theater was really creepy and the lake was beautiful. I also saw my first beaver and then I accidentally hit a deer on the way home. Yes, I killed a deer. And messed up my Jeep. We are okay, but my Jeep will be out of commission for the next week or so. This is how my life goes. Thank goodness a really nice guy happened to be driving by and he stopped to help us. He was nice enough to move the deer out of the road, which I didn’t even think of, look at my Jeep and let us know that we should be able to drive it home, and he had zip ties to tie up the loose wires so that we didn’t have any dragging the ground on our three hour drive home. I wish I could have gotten his name so I could have sent him a thank you letter with a gift card or something. He didn’t have to do what he did and many people drove by and did not even attempt to stop and help. There are a few good people out in the world, and we were lucky enough to have one drive by right after the accident happened.

Friday was a rough day. My aunt passed away and my dad's stress test did not go well. We are waiting to hear back from his doctor's about what they want to do next. And then the deer incident was Saturday.

I’m trying to make the best out of some really bad situations. I’m trying to focus on the good things in my life. That’s really all that I can do at this point. I’m hoping the universe decides to send some good luck my way.

If you made it to the end of this post, I truly appreciate the support. If you wouldn’t mind, please go check out the music video my boyfriend filmed last week. I included a link to the video in the second paragraph of this blog. It would mean a lot to us, and the band he worked with was very talented. I think they have a bright future ahead of them.

Stay safe and be kind.
